Be Cautious - Hail Repair Calls
Other News Posted by: Reposted by Central Florida Cities on Apr 6, 2022 1:03PM
With all the damage caused by the hail storm, this is kind of like the post-Irma days. That means there are a lot of insurance adjusters and contractors and roofers and all kinds of folks in our county right now who aren't here every day.
Be very suspicious of unsolicited calls from any type of contractors. That's not illegal, but it is suspicious since most reputable contractors are too busy to be making these calls.
We encourage everyone to do their due diligence before giving anyone money for repairs. Make sure they are licensed and insured. Look them up online and read reviews. Ask questions about their experience.
We know there are a lot of you who need to get things repaired quickly, but don't let that lead you into a scam.
